TREATMENT PROCESS

We will continue to address the issues that are specific to your situation and monitor your care and treatment plan toward your path to your recovery.

How to Get Help

Scheduling an Appointment

We know that scheduling an appointment can sometimes be the hardest step in seeking help for a mental illness, but once you contact us, we make every effort to give you a positive, helpful experience.

Call (603) 668-4111 between 8:30am and 5pm Monday-Friday and click option #4 for the Scheduling Office.

An intake specialist will gather information from you and schedule an appointment with the therapist best suited for your particular needs. If you are calling for an adult friend or family member, have that person with you so we can also speak with them.

When You Arrive

Intake & Assessment

We want to understand everything about what brought you to seek mental health treatment, which is why our intake process could last an hour or more. You will meet with us to discuss your health history, demographic information, as well as why you’re seeking help. After an initial assessment is made, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan that will meet your needs and support your recovery.

Who You’ll Meet

Our Support Staff

What You Should Know

Commonly-Asked Questions

These are some of the questions our clients ask most frequently about our practice, our approach, and our process.

Our goal is to enable you to feel better as soon as possible, and the process is different for everyone. The frequency of therapy appointments varies depending on your diagnosis. For some, the treatment plan includes visits with one of our psychiatrists or nurse practitioners who may prescribe medications to manage symptoms and enhance recovery.

We believe it is important to continue seeing the same therapist you saw on your first visit. If a different therapist or program is better suited to your needs, we make the appropriate changes and make the transition from one service to another as easy as possible.

Help and support are available 24 hours a day to help in managing a crisis or emergency. For a quick response simply call or text (833) 710-6477 and a mental health clinician will assist you in accessing the care you need. In some situations, a mobile team will be sent out to assist you and they will determine the best course of action to help you, which may include arranging for you to be seen by our Emergency and Interim Care Services at 401 Cypress St., Catholic Medical Center or Elliot Hospital.

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is here to help you cope with emotional distress and suicidal thoughts and provides crisis resources. Call or text 988 for immediate help, 24 hours a day, seven days a week or to chat with someone .

Nearly all the services we offer are covered by health insurance. We have contracts with most area health insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. We will explain any co-pays, deductibles, or other costs to you for which you may be responsible.

We do offer a sliding fee scale based on income and family size for most fees not covered by insurance. If the reduced fee is still too burdensome, our business office staff will examine your finances and work with you to develop a reasonable payment plan. Above all else, we want to help you get better regardless of your financial situation.

There are very strict laws and regulations in place to protect the privacy of health care information. We uphold and adhere to those standards.

Resist the temptation to advise or lecture. Instead, in a supportive manner, mention your concern and desire to help. If he/she responds positively, tell them you are happy to listen, but the most effective thing you can do is to help them connect with a highly-trained professional. You can call 211 (your local doorway). The Doorway can help connect you to the substance use and recovery supports and services an individual may need and the level of care that’s appropriate,
